Blood and Jazz
Liangdin lies east of Tynwë and is home to the remnants of the ancient matriarchal drow monarchy of Svergurd and the gray dwarf empire of Gazadhim, both broken and annexed into the Elven Kingdoms and Dvirhimmish Empire following their defeat in the Dark War. In the wake of the fall of the two great nations, territory in the Qri Rakshas region formerly under Drow or Gazad control came under the rule of Aglondale. Aglondale manages affairs in Qri Rakshas through the influence of the godlike native rakshasa, naga, and jann, long kept in service to Drow matriarchs or Gazad thaumaturges through magical slavery but now kept in service to Aglondale through bribery and corruption. Though in many ways the new rule is as bad as or worse than the old, Qri Rakshas is beginning to more strongly assert the various native cultures that the old regimes repressed; humanoid mortals and demimortals fight on the outskirts for independent states free of rakshasa, naga, or jann control.
As of 3989, Liangdin consists of the following geopolitical entities:
The easternmost portion of The Dvirhimmish Empire, including the formerly-independent state of Gazadhim
The Aexia, southeastern Cobalt Sea, and Svergurd regions of The Federation of Elven Kingdoms
The New Rakshasa Raj, Naga Nations, and Janni Amirates of Qri Rakshas
